Planning a supported holiday? Talk to us first and we’ll organise your support and your stay together.
How costs work
The NDIS doesn’t pay for holidays, but your plan may pay for the support you need while you’re away. We’ll always talk through the costs with you before anything is booked.
What your NDIS plan may cover
- Your support worker’s time while you’re away, at the same level of support you usually get, if your plan includes it (usually from your Core budget).
- Help planning the trip with you, and support getting there and home again.
What you pay for yourself
- Flights, the ferry and other travel costs
- Your stay at the house
- Food and groceries
- Activities, tours and entry tickets
- Your support worker’s travel and accommodation
No surprises
Every holiday is different, so your out-of-pocket costs are worked out with you and The Bradley Foundation. You’ll get them in writing before you book, and you can bring a family member, nominee or support coordinator into the conversation.
What your plan can pay for depends on your own plan. Check with your plan manager or support coordinator if you’re not sure.
