When you visit our website
Our website runs on Squarespace, which uses cookies and basic analytics, such as which pages are visited and what type of device is used. This doesn’t tell us who you are.
Photos and stories
We only use photos or stories of people we support with their written consent, or their guardian’s or nominee’s. You can change your mind at any time and we’ll take them down.
3. How we collect it
Mostly we get it straight from you: through our website forms, over the phone, by email or when we meet.
Sometimes we get it from people you’ve said we can talk to, like a family member, carer, guardian, plan manager, support coordinator or another provider.
You can make a general enquiry without giving your real name. To provide supports and be paid through your NDIS plan, we do need your details.
4. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry
- To plan and provide your supports, and agree them in a service agreement
- To send invoices to your plan manager or to you
- To keep you safe, for example contacting your emergency contact if something happens
- To recruit and manage our support workers
- To meet our legal and NDIS duties, such as worker screening, incident reporting and handling complaints
We won’t use your information for anything else unless you say yes or the law allows it. We won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
6. How we keep it safe
Your information is kept securely by The Bradley Foundation, and only people who need it can see it. We use password-protected accounts and devices, and keep any paper files locked away.
We keep health records for at least 7 years after we last support you, or until you turn 25 if you were under 18 when we supported you, as NSW law requires. After that we destroy them securely. Job applications are kept only as long as we need them.
7. Seeing and fixing your information
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to fix anything that’s wrong or out of date. Just call or email Casey. It’s free to ask, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
If we can’t give you something, we’ll explain why in writing.
8. If something goes wrong
If your information is lost or seen by someone who shouldn’t see it, we’ll act quickly to fix it. If it could cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
9. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please talk to us first. We’ll get back to you within 5 business days and work with you to put it right.
